Otakon 2013 & Every Photoshoot Ever

So I've been a bit busy lately, what with Otakon and other events going on. I also got extremely lazy and forgot I had a blog (and, occasionally, that I knew English and could communicate in anything except meows). Despite these (odd) setbacks, I still managed to get myself to a few photoshoots, a convention, a boat, and somewhere in Virginia that even my GPS couldn't make sense of.

ColossalCon 2013

This was my first year attending ColossalCon - and my first time in Ohio! We attended for a weekend of photoshoots with Gestalt Photographs, convention fun, hanging out with the talented Jazzmin Jolly, and some much-needed relaxation. Definitely a good way to spend the weekend!

Hypnotic Sweet Treats - Creepy Candy

A few weeks ago I participated in the launch photos for Hypnotic Sweet Treats' latest print, Creepy Candy! If you love candy, eyeballs, creepy-cute styles, or Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, this is probably the series for you. The entire print is composed of adorable pieces of candy and different colour eyeballs and has four different main pieces - a jumperskirt, a salopette, a skirt, and a miniskirt! As soon as they came in the mail I was in love, and the next day Kate and I hopped in the car and headed down to Washington, DC to meet up with Alexa and Jazzmin.

Alice in Central Park

A couple weeks ago, my friend Aerynsys approached me about a photoshoot. She wanted to do something with an Alice in Wonderland theme, so we talked about it and decided that the best place would be Central Park, set up a time, and I had to run from there to catch a bus home (and nearly missed it).

A week of scattered planning later, I was in NYC again, but this time in Central Park's Bethesda Terrace, where I discovered that summer apparently started in April this year.

Fashions by Belladonna

While I'm waiting for the upcoming shoot with the indie clothing brand Belladonna, I've been looking back through older photos and trying to decide which dress I want next from them. I don't wear lolita fashion as much anymore, and I'd honestly rather go for elegance than cuteness lately, anyway. Belladonna's clothing bridges that gap, creating interesting, vibrant prints that pop while still giving a touch of elegance and class that allows their clothing to be worn for everyday looks, as well. So when I got the invitation to work with them, I headed down to Baltimore, MD for the weekend.

June 2nd marked 1 year since my girlfriend and I 'officially' began dating. We were at a shoot together in Washington, DC this past weekend, but we managed to sneak in two coupley segments of our photoshoot; one because of the date, and one because of the month.

I've never done this blogging thing, but I've recently acquired a lot more free time and a lot of (unwanted) down time, so this is where I'll be posting.

I'm a 21 year old model with a lot of fashion loves; I wear all sorts of styles! I also work as a barista, but most of my time is spent either travelling, watching movies, surfing the web, or putting together outfits - not just for myself, but for other models for photoshoots!
